at three
She started early. At three she was singing along to the radio, at four she took up the trumpet and started piano at home at seven, guided by her father. By nine she was playing piano in church. Formal piano lessons followed in sixth grade with David Isenia and Igor Felicia, and she picked up the bass guitar at about twelve or thirteen, encouraged by her school music teacher David "Ronchi" Matthews.
She launched her solo career in 2012. Her debut song, Kosechá Kantando, was written in 2007 and is based on Psalm 126. She worked two jobs while she studied, and it took five years to save for the production. She gave her first concert in 2012.
In 2014 she quit her day job to work in music full time. Bo Mirada charted number one at Latin radio stations, was also recorded in Spanish and English, and entered the Legendary Curaçao Music list of the top 100 all-time hits. Mi Tera, her second project, addresses global issues.
She has been named best female singer and best upcoming artist at the Curaçao Music Awards, best female singer of the year at the Premio Edgar Supriano, best song of the year at the Skempi Music Awards, and best female artist of the year at Radio Direct and Radio MAS. She has also played piano in a duo or trio at hotels. Her motto, in her own words, is "to do your best with what you have, to never give up on that burning passion inside your heart because others depend on your light and gifts".
